Tying your belt correctly will keep it Looking smart and comfortably in place for a full training session. In this step-by-step guide we show you how to Tie your belt properly.

Hold the two ends of your kyokushin karate belt together to find the middle. Place the middle of your belt over your gi jacket on your belly button, holding it with both hands.

1. Hold the two ends of your belt together to find the centre. Place the middle of your belt over your belly button, holding it with both hands.

Wrap the kyokushin karate belt around your back and cross it over so it lays flat against your gi.

Check the ends of your belt are still even in length by holding them out in front of you. Then cross the left side of your belt over the right.
